What began as a one day event in 1989 on Las Olas Boulevard in downtown Fort Lauderdale has become the signature celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month in Broward County, Florida 20 years later!
The diverse Latino population in Broward has increased to more than 420,000 in a short period of time and has become one of the most targeted groups for corporate America. With a large Puerto Rican, Venezuelan and Colombian population, the success of VIVA BROWARD! in targeting this audience has been documented and featured in major media markets, as well as business partnerships and relationship marketing with the Hispanic consumer.
Knowing the challenges we face in today’s economy….reaching the consumer directly in a special event is MORE COST EFFECTIVE than any other way. It’s a chance to increase sales, awareness and reach a targeted consumer face to face!
A very special month-long celebration is planned for VIVA BROWARD! during Hispanic Heritage Month which begins on August 14th through October 26th in 2008. This signature Calendar of Events features more than 20 events in 10 cities including a number of new exhibits and programs planned to enhance the already popular series each year. The VIVA BROWARD! diverse and culturally focused events are produced by El Heraldo de Broward and in conjunction with the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau’s multicultural tourism campaign as well as other agencies, charities and organizations in south Florida. The month-long Calendar of Events will culminate with the signature free major international concert and festival with a massive promotional campaign on Oct.17th and 18th at the Pompano Citi Centre Mall, U.S. I and Copans Road.
